Some weeks ago we had the chance to interview one of Germanys best kiteboarders, Jan Schiegnitz (”Shigi”). Last spring I spend a weekend on the Wasserkuppe, which was absolutely unique. We call the highest mountain in Middle Germany tenderly “Waku”. The name stands for incredible fast weather changes, strong winds and the place to be for snowkiting. We were damned lucky to witness one of these very random perfect days: 20 knots, blue sky and fresh powder. We took photos with three external flashlights. My feet felt like after a marathon. But it made so much fun to do 540s, rodeo flips, inverted rolls… over the kicker, that we continued the session the half night!

A wonderful weekend drew to an end. With a big delay we finally reached our destination: Podersdorf. Unfortunatly the competition was already over and the wind was gone so we had to party even harder. The event was sensational organised. Mr. Kittag himself from the Liquid Force ö-division constructed a huge slider and a hefty kicker. With a 400 meter winch we still had much fun even by no wind. Props for the team of stylehunters.at, stick to your guns!
The calendar is the finest collection of one time pictures which emerged because of the passion for photography and funsport. Through these combination the pictures are gainig a deep insight into the perception of the athletes of their sport.
