Johannes Spaeth recently set himself a goal: to film a new snowkiting movie. He, Marian Hund, Simone, Fabi Oberhofer and I met, therefore, in Reschen, Italy to test some set ups and camera angles. For more info about the project have a look at Jo’s page:

These pictures, taken with a Rollei Bullet HD, show this year’s first impressions of the final contest area of the Snowkite Championships. At the moment there’s an awesome 12 meter box on piste and not far away, right next to main street, is a small hill which you can just about ride like a wave. It has been two fun-filled and chilled days at Reschen. Thanks so much to Simone for her hospitality and Ricki for his help.

What an insane autumn! I just had one of the most fun sessions this season thanks to Ronald from Unhhooked Distributions. He is the guy behind the organisation and instigation of those crazy trips to Lake Neusiedl and the Mediterranean Sea as well. Hitting the Mediterranean were Stefan Spiessberger and myself, as well as the Austrian team of Rainer Jaeger and Lukas Prodky (only Oli Panny was missing). As we met in Gardo, Italy the mood was already set for it to be an awesome time. Roni then checked Windfinder and found a spot with endless flatwater and four full days blowing bora. Bora is a strong wind coming from the Alps towards Africa. We were damn lucky to witness and enjoy such perfect conditions which contributed to a really fantastic October. I recommend you all subscribe to Roni’s page (unhooked.at) so that you don’t miss any coming events and wish everyone, especially the Liquid Force riders, a very merry Christmas!

El Flamingo is a filmcrew based in Germany, who produce actionsport movies including kiteboarding, mountainbiking, skiing, wakeboarding and some more sports. This week they launched the trailer for their new movie “[11]” coming spring 2012.

Liquid Force with the latest products from 2012 in Pelzerhaken. It has been three sunny days at the Baltic Sea with a bit of wind and a good mood to chill out at the beach.

 

It’s three o’clock in the morning somewhere on The Baltic Sea in Northern Europe. After 6 weeks on crutches I’m back on track! Jippijippiyeah! Hope to see you soon on the water. PEACE!
